Palawud : Bacolod’s Seafood Haven

If you ever happen to be in the City of Smiles, Bacolod, I recommend that you visit Palawud Grill & Resto Bar! It’s one resto for seafood cravers and meat lover’s alike.

Palawud is a local hiligaynon term “Pa ilawod” which means “to go farther or deeper into the middle of the ocean”.

Hence the sea, the shore and the resto grill as the theme of the place. It’s located at the sea side of Brgy. Banago, Bacolod City Negros Occidental.

The place occupies a coastline area overlooking the blue ocean. You can come anytime of the day if you’re up to good food and sea food delights.

Menu price ranges from ₱ 1,200 – ₱2,000 for group bundles, but if you’re on a date, there’s a wide variety of selections per person meal.

A budget of ₱700 minimum could give you the romantic dinner date by the sea or casual lunch for all occasions.

Other amenities? Hmmm

There’s a children’s play park if you happen to bring your kids, spacious car park area and magnificent sea side view of Bacolod’s shore.

I brought my family on lunch time once, and we all enjoyed a feast on seafoods as well as their lechon kawali. They also serve veggies on the menu for their vegetarian customers.

Palawud on the Evening

Kring and I tried Bacolod’s seafood haven together with my best friends (Neil and Beverly) for dinner and it was better with their night time additional attraction. (Drum roll please….)

Fire Dance!

Yes, If you come at around 7:00 to 9:00 PM, you’ll witness the entertaining fire dance while you enjoy good food, coupled with good music, and cold iced beer plus the great friends. That’s a date night to beat!

”Good food, good place, good entertainment with great friends, always the date to remember and you should do it not only once, but twice or many times.”

I would rate Palawud a promising 7.2/10 score for good service and good menu. Anything touched by the sea entices me, maybe because of the job but I hope for more affordable options in the future so that more could experience what Palawud of Bacolod has to offer.

Still so much more to explore in this place, I hope they will surprise you with more upgrades when you come and visit!

Cheers to the sea, the beer and the grill!
